After insertion of the implant, the buccal bone was perforated and permamem® was applied and fixed by screws and pins. The site was grafted with small cerabone® granules and subsequently completely covered by the membrane. Finally, permamem® was fixed coronally by the healing abutment and the site was sutured to achieve primary wound closure.
permamem® is a non-resorbable, biologically inert and biocompatible membrane made of high-density PTFE. Due to its cell occlusive properties, it provides optimal conditions for an undisturbed bony regeneration.
