More InformationDr. Kalenchuk demonstrates the application of different biomaterials for extended bone augmentation in the posterior maxilla.
Following the closure of the subantral perforation with Jason® membrane, the Schneiderian membrane perforation was covered by collprotect® membrane. Then, the sinus cavity and the buccal aspect was grafted with large cerabone® granules, and the site was covered by permamem®. A final radiograph confirms the stability of the augmented area.
collprotect® membrane is a native collagen membrane made of porcine dermis, which is ideal for most indications where an intermediate stability and easy handling are required. permamem® is a non-resorbable, biologically inert and biocompatible membrane made of high-density PTFE. Due to its cell occlusive properties, it provides optimal conditions for an undisturbed bony regeneration.
