Dr. Pelekanos shows the methodology of the implant site development, with focus on the aesthetic zone, based on today’s knowledge of the biology of different biomaterials and abutment selection (customized vs. prefabricated abutments, screw- vs. cement-retained).

Dr. Pelekanos holds a doctoral degree in Prosthodontics and was appointed full-time lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School at University of Athens, Greece. He has established a private practice in Athens, oriented towards prosthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry.

During the webinar he presents his approaches with the help of clinical cases thereby demonstrating the use of different biomaterials such as cerabone® and Jason® membrane.

Jason® membrane is a native collagen membrane obtained from porcine pericardium that provides a long barrier function. It is particularly thin thus the ideal choice for augmentations in the aesthetic zone with thin biotypes.
