Prof. Rothamel presents different approaches for sinus floor augmentation based on the literature and his own clinical experience.

Prof. Rothamel is Head of the Department, Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery at the Johanniter Hospital Bethesda Mönchengladbach, Germany and is Associate Professor at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. His research topics are Guided bone regeneration, socket preservation, implant surfaces, collagen membranes, bone substitute materials, growth factors and face traumatology.

In this webinar he discusses the selection of different biomaterials including Jason® membrane and cerabone®, shows clinical and histological results and debates possible complications.

Jason® membrane is a native collagen membrane obtained from porcine pericardium. Due to its unique collagen structure, it provides a naturally long barrier function optimally supporting the osseous regeneration of the grafted site. cerabone® is a 100% pure bone mineral of bovine origin, which maintains the bone volume of the augmented sinus on a long-term basis, thanks to its ultimate volume stability.
